I’m back with another dungeon crawler review, and his time it ’s something that I can play without hassle. I decided to give Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk a try, seeing it’s on consoles rather than on a handheld. This allowed me to not only play without restrictions but also to look at what I’m doing without tilting my head sideways. However, is the game good, or should it be locked in a labyrinth?

It’s very rare that I do not like first-party controllers, but the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons are one such example. They have no weight to them and when in the Grip, they sit at an odd angle on a table which makes them impossible for me to use. So I began looking for alternatives, specifically ones that don’t cost $70 USD like the official Pro Controller. This led to me to try the FastSnail Controller Converter (which I later discovered doesn’t work with the PS4 StrikePack F.P.S. Dominator), and the 8BitDo F30 Pro controller.

Video games based on comic book franchises have by in large been lackluster. Things started to turn around however when Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009. It didn’t take long for it to be hailed as the Batman game, a sentiment that I agree with. Marvel has always been behind the curve in regards to games based on their franchises, but has that changed with the PS4-exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man

Being only able to use my right hand, I’m always looking for peripherals that will make things easier for me, whether it’s using the computer or gaming. Over the years, I have used a number of different controllers, and have contemplated getting a custom controller like a SCUF, but ultimately, the cost has deterred me. However, I have discovered the PS4 StrikePack F.P.S. Dominator by Collective Minds Gaming Co. Ltd.. The question still remains though: How is it?

The technological advances never cease. Computers and gaming consoles get faster and more powerful. Virtual reality is becoming an actuality. Even motion-sensors are getting smaller. The flash drive-sized Leap Motion controller is a prime example of this.

As technology improves, so do video games. Sure, graphics constantly improve, but we rarely stop and think about how we actually play the games. In fact, most of the time it's all the same: You move with this stick, jump with this button, attack with that other button, etc. Iridium Studios' new game, There Came an Echo aims to change that.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty! is a re-creation and remake of 1997’s Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, and was released digitally in North America on 2014.07.22 for the PlayStation 4 for $29.99 USD. Versions for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and Xbox One are forthcoming, but no release date has been given.

Being an avid gamer, my hand tends to get sweaty. This can cause problems when playing fighting games. So, about two years ago, I bought a pair of fingerless exercise gloves, which helped to prevent the sweat from running down onto my fingers. Over time, however, more and more sweat was traveling down. The last straw was the fact that to compensate my thumb slipping off the analog stick, I was digging my nail into the rubber covering, ultimately destroying it. As a result, I started looking around for other solutions and eventually discovered GAM3R GLOV3S.

Typing for extended periods of time on an iPad isn't efficient without a physical keyboard. Luckily, I discovered and purchased the New Trent Airbender Mini. The Airbender Mini is a silicone-covered hard shell keyboard case that fits the iPad mini as well as the iPad mini with Retina display. Fighting games are something very near and dear to my heart. it’s one genre I really enjoy, because it challenges me to improve my reflexes. It is also one genre I’m not jaded with, meaning I won’t tell myself that a crappy game *coughvanillaStreetFighterXTekkencough* is good, or vice versa. Atlus USA has just released a new fighting game entitled Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match, but how is it?
