[Review] Brook Wingman XB 3 Converter
Due to the utter nonsense that Sony is pulling, they have made a decision that should've been very hard for me to make, very easy, and have lost yet another customer. I have traded in my PS5 and used that money to pick up an XBOX Series X, instead. While the XBOX Series X|S also has Remote Play via the XBOX App, given my experiences with the PS5’s RemotePlay, I didn’t want to rely on Remote Play again. Been there, done that. So I reached out to Brook and they sent me a Wingman XB 3 Converter for review.
[Review] 8BitDo Lite SE 2.4G Wireless Controller for Xbox
I'm physically challenged -- I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I can't walk, am physically non-speaking, and can only use my right hand. One's choice, or lack thereof, of controller can have a major effect, good and bad, on enjoying games.
[Review] reWASD - An accessibility review
I've been using an input remapper called reWASD for a few years, and it's become an integral part of my gaming arsenal. I've used other input remappers like JoyToKey and Xpadder, both of which I've been using off and on for about 15 years. However, reWASD has become my favorite of the three by a country mile.
[Review] Brook Wingman XE 2 Converter
One's choice, or lack thereof, of controller can have a major effect, good and bad, on enjoying games. The Brook Wingman XE 2 converter has made my enjoyment of the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 so much better.
[Review] Brook Wingman P5 Converter
Over the years, I’ve used a number of controller converters, several of which are by Brook, including the Wingman PS2 Converter, the Wingman XE, and most recently, the Wingman FGC 2. While the FGC 2 does work on PS5, it only supports wired connections, meaning reWASD cannot connect to it. As a result, the FGC 2 became the dedicated converter for my MadCatz Street Fighter 5 FightPad Pro for Tekken 8. It wasn’t until several months after that decision that I discovered the Wingman P5, a converter that supports wired and wireless connections!
[Review] Turtle Beach Recon 500 Headset
I was lucky enough to get a PlayStation 5 back in March. Seeing the PS5 touts unprecedented audio (one might say it’s a Virtual Barbershop of audio), I was looking for a new gaming headset, to test it out with. As a result, I am back with another headset review. My second Turtle Beach review to be exact -- Turtle Beach’s Recon 500 over-ear gaming headset.
[Review] Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny
Strategy RPGs have always been my weakest suit because I suck at strategizing (which is one reason why I get bodied in fighting games). That being said, I've played the Disgaea series since the first game, Hour of Darkness, way back on the PlayStation 2. As such, I was interested when Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny was announced.
[Review] PS4 StrikePack Eliminator Mod Pack
Being disabled, I really can’t afford custom controllers like SCUF controllers or even first-party controllers such as the Xbox Elite Controller, when the prices are so high […] Attachments on the other hand are less expensive and more easily replaceable. […] Collective Minds Gaming Co. Ltd. is also back with the next iteration in their PS4 StrikePack line of attachments: The Strike Pack Eliminator Mod Pack adapter. The question still remains though: How is it?
[Review] Switch Up Game Enhancer V2.0
Within the last two console generations, controller converters/adapters have become more and more prevalent. These USB accessories make it so a controller from one system can work on another. Over the years, I’ve used a number of these converters, including an eTokki PS2-to-360 converter, a COOV N-100/FastSnail controller converter, a Mayflash Magic-NS, and now Collective Minds Gaming Co. Ltd.’s Switch Up Game Enhancer V2.0. The question remains, though: From an accessibility standpoint, does the Switch Up get an upvote or a downvote?
[Review] Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 + SuperAmp for PS4 and PS4 Pro
Over recent years, I have come to value sound quality and comfort above all else in a headset. Sound quality is especially important for gaming, as well as for music. That’s why I was excited to review Turtle Beach’s Elite Pro 2 + SuperAmp for PS4 and PS4 Pro (“PS4 Elite Pro 2”) over-ear headset.
